How We Got Started
The value of our home’s outdoor space has skyrocketed as people have been spending more time at home and socializing outside. The team at Urban Oasis Contracting has seen first-hand how meaningful an enjoyable yard is for their clients, an outcome-driven by their goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
Started by long-time local residents of Austin Josh Bucio and Carter Romero in 2012, Urban Oasis is a full-service landscape and contracting business. The pair got their start mowing lawns for neighbors in Avery Ranch. As the company grew, they began to evolve into landscape design, and eventually, full scope contracting. In 2016, the pair paused their business to attend college – Josh studied at Texas A&M while Carter studied at the University of Chicago. COVID-19 led the founders to the realization that there was a surprising shortage of landscape businesses locally that had an acceptable degree of communication and friendliness with their clients. Through building a highly qualified and licensed team of experts, Josh and Carter were able to satisfy this need within the Austin market.
This energetic duo—along with their eager team—treats every project as if it is their own space to enjoy. With hundreds of happy customers and the reviews to prove it, Urban Oasis Contracting is made up of project managers who each have their own crew, along with a team of specialist in-house contractors, working together with precision to deliver perfect results. A love for the outdoors and the creative nature of outdoor construction led Josh and Carter to expand their services to include concrete, masonry, pergolas, roof extensions, decks, planting, irrigation, hardscaping, sod, tile, and turn-key 2D and 3D renderings. Custom design services include landscaping, patio construction, woodwork, metalwork, and fencing.
